Meet the chairs!
Regional Conference Co-Chairs - Ian Callahan and Alex Rosati
Ian is a junior Electrical Engineer in the Swanson School of Engineering. He was born and raised in Riegelsville, PA and attended Easton Area High School. Ian is involved in various organizations at the University. He is a member of the University of Pittsburgh's Varsity Marching Band, several Pep Bands for different university events, IEEE, and ESC. Alex is a freshman engineer planning to major in Industrial Engineering. Born and rasied on Long Island, New York, Alex played baseball throughout high school where he also took leadership roles in his school's student board, National Honor Society, and his communities Relay for Life. Along with his involvment in ESC, Alex currently writes for The Pitt Pulse and is working on a private internet start up with other Pitt students. you can contact Alex at email@example.com.
Philanthropy Chair - Caleb Wieszczyk
Caleb is a sophomore Chemical Engineering student planning to minor in Materials Science Engineering and Chemistry. He was born in East Lake, Ohio and later moved to North East, PA, attending North East High School. Aside from ESC, Caleb participates in intramural sports at Pitt. Publicity Chair - John Landis
John is a junior bioengineering student also pursuing a mechanical engineering minor. He grew up in Marietta, PA and attended Donegal High School. In addition to ESC, he is a member of BMES, the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band, and other pep bands. John enjoys playing the piano, hiking, camping and watching the Phillies, and is very excited to be the Publicity Chair. John can be contacted at email@example.com.
Events Chair - Emily Connor
Emily is a junior chemical engineering student who is also pursuing minors in polymer engineering, economics, and chemistry. She has been involved in Engineering Student Council since her freshman year. In addition to her role in ESC, Emily is currently involved in the Society of Women Engineers and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In her free time, Emily enjoys going to concerts, shopping, reading, and taking care of her adorable kitten Romeo. E-Week Co-Chairs - Alex Davis & Kelly Schreiber
Alex is a junior Civil Engineering major from Buffalo, NY, also pursuing a minor in Architecture. In addition to Engineering Student Council, Alex is also a SSOE Student Ambassador, in the Pitt Jazz Ensemble and a member of the Pitt Soccer Talk Club. Alex really enjoys playing basketball and soccer, beating his friends in 2k, Fifa and Madden and designing the occasional bridge in class. One day Alex hopes to use his civil engineering knowledge to design a project that adds to the main infrastructure of a 3rd world country. Kelly is a junior pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree with a BioEngineering minor, from the Pittsburgh area. In addition to ESC, she is also a member of AIChE and SWE. Outside of school, Kelly enjoys being outdoors, reading, traveling, and playing with dogs. This will be her fourth semester involved with ESC, and she’s very excited to be an E-Week Co-Chair! Sponsorship Chair - Dan Kolesar
Dan is a junior pursuing a major in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. He was born in Johnstown PA and went to high school at Sharpsville Area High School. Along with being a member of ESC, Dan is also a member of Pitt Chem-E-Car and Pitt's chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Digital Media Chair - Hector Li
Hector is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering along with a minor in Computer Science. He was born in the Dominican Republic and went to high school in Bethlehem, PA, about an hour outside of Philadelphia. He is also a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. In his free time, Hector likes watching football and baseball, running, and exploring the great city of Pittsburgh! Freshman Co-Chairs - Jalen Bryant and Brian Randall
Jalen is a Chemical Engineering Sophomore in the Swanson school of engineering. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina and loves the pretty lights of the city. He is a member of ChemE car, and the club wrestling team here at Pitt. In his free time he likes being the GOAT at Madden and exploring different parts of downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland. Brian is a freshman engineering student at the Swanson School of Engineering and is majoring in either computer or electrical engineering. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. In his spare time, he likes to read as well as play soccer and basketball. He is also involved with the Robotics and Automation Society at Pitt.
